The following agreement summaries address issues relating to overtime and penalty rates.

Overtime arrangements: The Chep Altona Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 1997 [Print P5240] provides the first five hours overtime to be paid at ordinary rates and the following five hours at time and a half. The Sunday rate is restricted to time and a half.

The Kormilda College Ltd Enterprise Agreement 1997 [Print P5520] permits employees to take time off in lieu of an overtime payment at the rate of one hour off for each hour of overtime worked.

Penalties: The BBC Hardware Bonnyrigg Agreement 1997 [Print P3884] provides that the Saturday penalty rate is time and a quarter and the Sunday penalty is time and a half.

Public holidays: The Cathay Pacific Catering Services Pty Ltd, Darwin Enterprise Bargaining Agreement, Stage I 1997 [Print P3444] allows employees to cash out days accrued in lieu of public holiday penalties. This option must be exercised in the week following the accrual of the day in lieu.
