Employers and employees entering into Australian Workplace Agreements (AWAs) can now obtain copies of the Information Statement for Employees in audio.

The statement contains information about the process involved in making an AWA and the rights of employees entering into AWAs. A copy of the statement (in written or audio form) must be provided to each employee who enters into an AWA.

The audio version of the statement was produced by the Royal Blind Society for the Office of the Employment Advocate (OEA) and has been produced to assist in addressing the information needs of those with vision problems. The audio version of the statement will also help the estimated 10% of the population not literate in English.

The Information Statement, in both printed and audio forms, is available free of charge by calling 1300 363 471.
