The President of Fair Work Australia, Justice Iain Ross, has launched a new web tool, which enables users to search the content of all Fair Work Australia (FWA) approved Enterprise Agreements.

The introduction of the Agreement search tool is one of the 25 initiatives in the Tribunal’s Future Directions strategy that was launched in October, and which is aimed at making agreement provisions more readily accessible.

Justice Ross said the introduction of the new technology supported the Tribunal’s goal to support more productive Australian workplaces.

‘This new tool supports the Fair Work Act Review Panel’s suggestion that best practice productivity enhancing provisions in agreements be more readily identifiable and made more widely known to employers and unions,’ Justice Ross said.

‘By using this tool employers and unions alike will have easy access to a range of agreement clauses which they can then modify to reflect the particular needs of their business or industry.’

‘Users will also be able to search the content of all Agreement Decisions made by the Tribunal — whether the agreement is approved or not. This will also be a valuable resource for all parties when negotiating new agreements.’

Justice Ross said that while the new agreement search resource is now live, the Tribunal would continue to review the tool and introduce further enhancements in the coming months.
