The Fair Work Commission today published its Timeliness benchmarks for the delivery of reserved decisions and for dealing with agreement approval applications.

The benchmarks show the commission's performance for the six months to 30 June 2015. Trends show agreements are moving through the system much quicker, as supported by the independent review of the enterprise agreement approvals pilot.

As reported in WorkplaceInfo, the FWC has been trialling using administrative staff instead of members for “non-determinant work” in these two areas, in order to free up members for more complex issues.

As noted in the president’s pilot program update in July, the commission has now decided to extend the pilot following its success. There has also been a decline in the finalisation of reserved decisions.
