Janine Webster has been appointed as a commissioner of the NSW Industrial Relations Commission.

Treasurer and Minister for Industrial Relations Dominic Perrottet announced the appointment last week, highlighting Ms Webster’s expertise and experience. Ms Webster will commence her role as a commissioner on 3 December 2018.

"Janine has over 16 years’ experience in the legal field of workplace relations, most recently as the chief counsel for the Fair Work Ombudsman, and brings a wealth of practical experience with her," Mr Perrottet said.

Mr Perrottet also announced that Commissioner John Stanton has been re-appointed for a three-year period, hearing matters two days a week, primarily in Newcastle. This appointment will maintain an IRC presence in Newcastle.

Commissioner Stanton was re-appointed in his new capacity until 21 October 2021.
