As reported in HR Link of 24 May 1996, the federal Government’s workplace reform package has been shunted off to the Senate Economics References Committee until, possibly, as late as 22 August 1996.

The Committee will be travelling between the State capitals in order to hear submissions from interested parties. Subscribers will be interested to learn the makeup of the Committee and how they can get in touch with it.

The Committee is membered by the following Senators: Chapman, Ferguson (Deputy Chair) and Panizza of the Liberal Party, Childs, Collins (Chair), Mackay and Wheelwright of the Labor Party and Senator Spindler of the Democrats.
