On 12 April 2000, the Victorian Industrial Relations Minister, Ms. Monica Gould, announced the establishment of a taskforce to consider the options available to the State Government for an improved industrial relations framework in Victoria.

On 12 April 2000, the Victorian Industrial Relations Minister, Ms. Monica Gould, announced the establishment of a taskforce to consider the options available to the State Government for an improved industrial relations framework in Victoria.

The taskforce will be chaired by Professor Ron McCallum, the Blake Dawson Waldron Professor in Industrial Law at the University of Sydney. Other members of the taskforce are:

  • Peter Nolan - Workplace Relations Manager, AIG
  • Nicole Feely - Chief Executive Officer, VECCI
  • Leigh Hubbard - Secretary, Victorian Trades Hall Council
  • Michael Donovan - Victorian Branch Secretary, SDA
  • George Lekakis - Ethnic Communities' Council of Victoria

The taskforce will prepare an Issues Paper for release in early May, with a final report and recommendations expected by 31 July 2000.
