New laws seeking to give Victoria’s 350,000 schedule 1A workers access to Federal Award safety net conditions are before the Senate today.

The new laws include provisions allowing Schedule 1A workers access to the 20 minimum conditions set down for Federal awards.

A spokesperson for the Shadow Federal Workplace Relations Minister said the Federal ALP was supporting the Bill and it should pass the Senate today.
